Propel Strategy Partners was founded by Dr. Kia Murray in 2023 to support organizations in strengthening performance through intentional strategy, aligned systems, and sustainable improvement practices. Propel partners with governing boards to move beyond short-term solutions and build the structures, clarity, and capacity needed for long-term success.

Dr. Murray approaches her work from a unique perspective, having served in both executive leadership and board member roles. Her expertise includes leadership development, organizational culture, strategic planning, diagnostic reviews, systems design, and board governance. While much of her work has been grounded in K–12 education, these practices are highly transferable and support organizations across sectors seeking to improve performance, strengthen leadership, and increase impact.

Dr. Murray serves as the owner and lead consultant of Propel Strategy Partners. She brings more than 20 years of experience in public education, having served in roles ranging from classroom teacher to multi-state network administrator. Her work has focused on supporting leaders, teams, and governing boards to align vision, strategy, and execution in the service of meaningful outcomes.

Kia’s clients span from small rural schools to state departments of education, as well as nonprofit organizations and mission-driven teams seeking to strengthen organizational effectiveness. Across all engagements, she is known for combining strategic clarity with practical tools, helping organizations not only define where they are going but also build the systems to get there. Most importantly, Kia leads with compassion and heart, always keeping people and relationships at the center of her work.
